Hyperpolarization

Danish National Research Foundation Center for Hyperpolarization in Magnetic Resonance.

Our research activities in hyperpolarization takes place from Center for Hyperpolarization in Magnetic Resonance (HYPERMAG), a Center of Excellence funded by the Danish National Research Foundation.

HYPERMAG is committed to studying basic research questions of nuclear spin hyperpolarization, exploiting the 10,000-fold enhancement of the MR signal to enable new applications within medicine, biology and chemistry.

We have one of the most advanced facilities for research into hyperpolarization with several polarizers operating at high magnetic field and down to 1 K. MR scanners are available through extensive collaboration with university hospitals nationally and internationally.

HYPERMAG Center Leader is Center for Magnetic Resonance Group Leader, Professor Jan Henrik Ardenkjær-Larsen.

For more information on research mission, group and facilities, visit HYPERMAG's website at http://www.hypermag.dtu.dk/.
